Thursday 15 November

This week we had two maths tests! We had one on Tuesday
and this morning. I got advanced on my plus and minus and
Proficient on Division and multiplication! We also had our
spelling test this morning I got 12.0 years and 45 right!
Yesterday at music we look we singing and after we were
done we looked at the eclipse it was PRO as I really enjoyed
it looking at it I can't wait till the next one!!!

Thursday 8th November

This week was PRO as! My friends Josh and David made a PRO as board
game last week! This week I made a box for the board game and we
all painted it. We put the name of the board game "BE A PRO" on the
top cover and on the sides we put PRO on and we also put stars on!
Then this morning the year fives had the dreaded task of taking our movies
to the The Event Cinemas!!! We had mad movie and today was our premiere.
Our group was about 7 and most of my friends liked I thought most of the
movies where PRO as but som where a bit LOUD!

Thursday 13th August

This week story boarding is coming to an end al the groups are putting their
endings onto their storyboards, my group are doing an AMAZING job on our
storyboard. Jennifer and I are on the story and storyboard, while Ethan O.
Ethan M. and Jahvis are on the design area but everyone is helping each
other on everything! Our group needs to improve on our frames a bit more,
but we are still do in a great job with everything else. Ethan M. is helping
with the story as well he has done some typing but everyone has come up
with PRO ideas and we will have a great movie called....
THE LOST PEPSI BOTTLE!!!

Wednesday 22nd August

This week we had literacy workshop! We had to learn how to
use "I Can Animate" and we leant more about making animations.
Then in our groups we had to make a story then storyboard, then
film/make and finally edit! In my group is Hunter, Ethan, Jahvis and
Daniel. The problem that most groups have is that we keep on writing
our story on the storyboard and those are then next steps so far for
my group. What we are supposed to do a story plan,and just do a
basic plan to read off of what we did in our stor as our storyboard.

Thursday 15th August

This week we did our literacy workshop and we learnt how to use an app
called... I CAN ANIMATE on the ipads! It's an AWESOME movie making app!
I enjoyed using it and I used it to make a movie of our class swimming at the
Millenium Institute. Witch reminds me, today our class went to swimming
but I was sick so I didn't swim and next week I will swim. What I could work
on is probably my butterfly and breast stroke and keep on going when I not
getting tired while I do free stroke. I really enjoy swimming! Tomorrow the year
3-6's are doing cross country! I can't wait some people can though but I pesonaly
think it's AWESOME!!! I can't wait!!!

Monday 13th August

On Friday Marianne and Isaac represented our class in the year 5/6 speech finals!!!
Together they were 2 of 4 year 5's!!! The rest of the year 5's were: Aria and Jade. A
ria won the whole final!!! But everyone else did a great speech!!! I really wanted to
make it in although I didn't, our class speech finalists did a great job! My next steps
probably would be... To use more eye contact, more expression and to speak louder.
I really enjoyed all the speeches! Today we also started our new spelling program.
It was quite fun my group had to do, plurals ending with - OES we came up with
words like; Mosquitoes, Potatoes, Buffaloes and Toes!
My next steps are... To think of a better variety of word and try to get all of my words
right!

Thursday 9 August

This week was the start of week 4!!! Guess what that meant? SPEACH SEMI FINALS!
Out of our class Isaac, Marianne and Bridget all made it in! Marianne and
Isaac both made it to the FINAL and Isaac didn't even need his Cue Cards!
I think that Isaac and Marianne both deserved to make it in and did so!
Bridget also did really well, they represented our class very well!!!

Wednesday 1 July

This week we had our 3WC! AWESOME, it didn't feel that AWESOME it felt....
SCARY!!! Yes terrifying, very terrifying ahh!!! I was so nervous I thought that
Miss McCauley would might say something bad about me not that I did anything
bad... But it was a success I really enjoyed it!!! I made a presentation that my
mum really liked!!! Miss McCauley had great things to say about me and it was
really good!!!

Wednesday 27 June

On Monday this week we did ICT, I really enjoyed doing my writers club it's so
FUN!!! We can write stories that we've done in class or we could do questions
or riddles of the week or day. You get points on it as well and there is a leaderboard
so if you get in the top twelve with the highest points you get on the leaderboard.
Isaac is on the TOP of the leaderboard!!! He has 775 points!!! There are acheivements,
that is how you get the points each achievement has an amount of points!

Tuesday 12th June

Yesterday we did ICT. In ICT we changed a setting that let us
comment on each others wikis. First Miss McCauley had to change
a setting on our wiki, once ours were able for people to comment on
our wiki, people had to send requests I sent lots of request, then Miss
McCauley had to accept it. We couldn't accept it because Miss McCauley
is the organizer of our wiki. Then we were free to comment. We had to
go into edit mode though so we had to be careful that we dindn't delete
anything

Thursday 7th June

This week we focused on a art activity becuase we were going to the
museum and at the museum there is a event going on called identi-tee
so we are going to take part in it. We had to bring in our
FAVOURITE t-shirt! I brought my South African rugby jersey!!!
Then we had a choice to put on our t-shirt and get our face in it
we could put on our t-shirt an not have our head in it or we could
hold it or just lay it down on something. once we took our picture
we had to write a story on why the t-shirt is special to us. Once we
had done that we had to go on to www.identi-tee.co.nz and submit
it on the website and people can vote on their favourite one

Wednesday 30th May

Last week we were going to teach the class how to kick in rugby but
I smashed my head against a wall the day before so I was away on
Friday and had to go home early on Thursday but I so photos on
Twitter. It looked like it went well! When I went back to school
the other teachers said it went really well. This week I had fun
doing my Iwrite. My story is called Jake Hawk takes it to the EXTREME!!!
So far I've wrote 3 and a half pages! It's been so cool!!!

Wednesday 23rd May

Today we stared our skills and drills for P.E and today our
class learnt that we would be teaching the class! I am going
to teach the class rugby kicking and soccer shooting!!! On rugby
Hunter, Kalib, Jahvis, David and Ethan O will be helping me
teach the class and on soccer Kalib and Hunter will help me.

Monday 14th May

Today we started of with our easttle test I just finished I think I did well.
I hope I did well I enjoyed doing it. Tomorrow we have got our assembly
I really can't wait. It's going to be Awesome! we are going to do a run through
for our presentation tomorrow. I think we are going to nail it! this morning
we talked a bit about it and it sounds great.

Tuesday 8th May

This week we started talking about our assembly movie we finished our script!
I got the main boy part!!! his name is Jack. We did the first practice this morning
as well. It is going to be so awesome by the looks of things! I can't wait for
our assembly. Yesterday in ICT we got to bling up our wiki I put on a really
cool lego widget wear you can put on cloths and other accessories on your
lego character.

Wednesday 2nd May

This week I really enjoyed doing my Maths independent but yesterday we had
a ICT session and we went on a website called Screenr. on screenr you can
make screen casts and we are doing instruction so we will use screenr o do our
instructions we also learn how to make a screen shot on a computer all you do
is press apple shift 4 at the same time.

Monday 30th April

Today I've started my Independent maths I did really well I got up to question 35!
Then we had to go to fitness I did aerobics today. After aerobics I had Spelling testing
and new words I got all of my words correct! After New words and testing I moved on to
spelling activities since I didn't finish my sentences I had to finish them. I had Maths
Marking but I couldn't find the marking sheet so I moved on to wikiblog! Early this morning
Davis, Kalib, Paula, Erin, Joshua and I went to help set up the tennis training so once we
had finished we went to class to start the day.

Thursday 26th April

Today I've got my first writing workshop with a group. My group is Tui's
the highest group. This week was our first week of school after the holidays
I've really enjoyed it because I've with my friends. We've also started a new
writing program, it's called Wonderful Writing and Talking homework.
Wonderful writing is were we have to write a story on friday we will get a topic
every Monday so we know what we've got to write. During the week we have
to brainstorm/plan your story that's were talking homework comes in we have
to talk to our family to get some ideas for our brainstorm/plan it is really is
interesting. We can use anything to write with and we can write on anything
so it is really cool.

Tuesday 3rd April

Today we had an ICT session first thing in the morning! we talked about
content and not to do widgets so we can get more content on our pages.
Miss McCauley us told us that she looks for content not widgets I think
I do have good content. Yesterday we had and ICT session and we took
all the widgets if we had off our home page so we can put things that discribe
ourself.

Wednesday 28th March

This week we had two ICT sessions and we've got one today!!!
we also have got PE I think we are going to vs Room 10 at strategy.
I hope we win, last time they beat us by 27 seconds!!! it was so close I was
last and wasn't goodI got about 30 seconds but I was against
Wade and he is faster than me.
I still really enjoyed playing it was AWESOME!!!
Last week we also learnt that we are going to do a special project!!!

Thursday 22nd March

Today we did a IKAN maths test it was really hard!
especially when we got to stage 5 I don't know how
well I did but when I get my portfolio I will know I hope
it is good! I also know that it is almost time 3WC
three way conferences I can't wait!

Monday 19th March

Today was our first day back at schooI! I really
enjoy all the activies at camp but my favourite
activity at camp was the Amazing Race it was really
fun and a good team activity. My team won the amazing race
and where the first team to complete the amazing race!
I really enjoyed doing the activities! I liked it when we could
play sports with the adults! My favourite meal was DESSERT!!!
especially Wednesday and Thursday dessert!!!
CAMP WAS AWESOME!!!

Tuesday 6th March

Yesterday I enjoyed doing my reading follow up.
I enjoyed reading about a camp dairy because we are
going to go to camp and at camp we're going to do a camp

diary. I didn't like how the story was missing words but it
was a good diary. I also enjoyed doing my first aid book
there were lots activities and it was really fun. I liked doing
the puzzles.

Friday 2nd March

This week my favorite thing I did was my reading follow
up because we did something that was on the computer that
was fun. I also enjoyed doing a building activity with a group.
I also enjoyed doing it. The coolest thing I was involved in
was the ST John first aid training I enjoyed learning first aid
because it was learning something important while having fun.
This week I had a good week I had fun doing my work and did
a lot and I was with my work I had done.

Thursday 1st March

Today a ST Johns nurse came in to teach us First aid.
she tough us about how to treat a unconscious person,
how to treat a bleeding person and lots more. I enjoyed
learning first aid because it was fun and informative. at lunch
I played cricket and force back a kicking game with my friends.
Than we moved on to topic and the we had a camp game. We
played with room 10 and room 2 because we are going on camp
with them.

Thursday 23rd February

This morning I met a new boy called Jahvis I went
to fitness with him I helped him so did Dylan. After fitness
I had a math workshop then maths follow up.

Wednesday 22nd February

Yesterday did the AsTTle maths test I think
did well after thar we played games on the computer
than we went to class and did camp discussion.

Wednesday 15th February

This morning I did my creative writing and then my
individual reading. During morning tea we watched
diary of a wimpy kid.

Monday 13th February

Today at lunch I played cricket with Issac, Kalib, Ryan and other friends
it was heaps of fun but Ryan ran me out it was lots of fun after luch we lernt
how to do blogs right now we are doing our blog pages.
